Hamzeh Zahran (born 1989) is a Jordanian-American artist working across photography, sculpture, and installation. His practice explores memory, belonging, and the relationship between personal histories and place. His work considers how identity is carried through images, gestures, materials, and the body.

His first solo exhibition, Remains, was presented at Darkroom Amman. His work has also been exhibited or presented at Sharjah Art Foundation, PhMuseum Days in Bologna, Olczak Group in Berkeley, the Vermont Center for Photography, Filter Space in Chicago, Cornell University's Bibliowicz Family Gallery, and Fotofestival Lenzburg in Switzerland. His artist book Remains is held in the collections of the San Francisco Public Library and New York University Libraries.

His projects include Remains (2025), a photographic series made during a return to Amman that examines the disjointed relationship between home, memory, and belonging. Featured on PhMuseum, the project was also published as an artist book in a limited edition of 50 copies. Offering (2023–2025) comprises six hand-altered archival prints of his mother in her prayer garment. In Search of Thule (2021–ongoing) explores place, home, and what lies just beyond reach through color photography. i know is an immersive installation papered with American newspaper clippings that explores the fractured interior of diaspora. His recent sculptural work examines how class and lived conditions become legible through posture, gesture, and the body.

Zahran is currently pursuing an MFA in Art and Media at NYU Abu Dhabi. His writing includes “Inheritance,” a forthcoming glossary contribution to Home: A Glossary for a Communal Sense of Place, associated with the 2026–2027 Public Art Abu Dhabi Biennial.
